Transformation

Master the Art of Transformation

A transformation never stops. Whoever leads it has to move faster than it does.

A transformation does not die on the idea. It dies on the rhythm. The strategy is clear, the executive committee is aligned, and nothing moves. Workstreams pile up, teams wear out, months go by.

This talk gives four reflexes to take the initiative back.

Know the difference between change and transformation. Change is something you undergo: a project, an end date. Transformation is something you lead, continuously. The only lasting skill is the speed of transformation.

Switch to architect mode. See the organisation at 360 degrees, spot the interactions and the sticking points before you launch, draw the trajectory from state A to state B with milestones and time to breathe.

Build the right rhythm. Programme the effort: deliverables, intensity, measurement. What keeps a team going over time, and what exhausts it.

Tell the wins along the way. Make the pain of the status quo felt, then value every victory to keep the energy up.

The room leaves with a definition they can use on Monday, a trajectory sketched on their own case, a rhythm, and a ninety-second message to tell the transformation to their teams.

Who for. Executive committees, leaders, senior managers, programme heads

Formats. 90 minutes, half-day, one-day masterclass
